Charity through bonsai

The Bonsai Society of Sydney, headed by Megumi Bennett, will hold the eighth annual Sydney Bonsai Exhibition on August 16-17 at the Checkers Resort and Conference Centre in Sydney's Terrey Hills. As well as displays and demonstrations of more than 80 different bonsais created by society members, the first day of the exhibition will also feature an ikebana demonstration. There will also be a range of saplings, pots, soils and other bonsai items available for purchase. A bonsai-making workshop will be held for beginners. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the NSW branch of Diabetes Australia.
