Cairns awards karate veteran

Karate instructor Kazue Matsumoto was honoured by the city of Cairns on Australia Day when he was named the 2008 Senior Sportsman of the Year. A Cairns resident and karate teacher for 33 years, Matsumoto's ability to motivate children and adults alike is well known in the community. Matsumoto said he was grateful and truly happy for the civic achievement.
