Japan's Kitajima wins gold at Melbourne's World Swimming Championships

Kosuke Kitajima won gold in the men's 200m Breaststroke at Melbourne's World Swimming Championships in March, regaining the world title he won in 2003. Although not as fast as his personal best of 2:09:42, he made a relatively easy victory at 2:09:80 to add to his silver medal he won earlier in the championships in the 100m Breaststroke.
Kitajima won both the 100 and 200m events at the Athens Olympic Games. His latest 200m victory was made even sweeter having temporarily lost the world champion ranking to American Brendan Hansen in 2005.
